Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Kindergarten at WES! We’re so excited to begin this learning journey with your child and look forward to a fun, engaging, and successful year together.
To help our youngest learners ease into Full Day Kindergarten, we will begin the school year with a scaffolded transition period from September 3rd to 12th. This gradual start is designed to give teachers time to get to know each child individually, while also helping students become familiar with their new classroom, routines, and school environment in a calm and supportive way.
Because all of our Kindergarten students are new to WES, final class lists and groupings will not be confirmed until after this transition period. During the first few days, students will have opportunities to mix and interact with different peers and teachers. This approach allows us to observe student needs and dynamics and ultimately helps us create well-balanced classes that support the best possible learning environment for all children.
Thank you for your support as we begin this important first step in your child’s educational journey. We look forward to partnering with you for a wonderful Kindergarten year!
The first day of school at WES is Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. Kindergarten students will attend from 8:28-10:11am. Following this, the gradual schedule looks as follows for the first two weeks.
NOTE: bussing will be available in the mornings only for these two weeks; please make arrangements for your child to be picked up at 10:11am.
Wednesday, September 3rd: 8:28-10:11am
Thursday, September 4h & Friday, September 5th: 8:28-10:11am
Monday, September 8th to Friday, September 12th: 8:28-10:11am
Monday, September 15th onward: All Kindergarten students will attend full days and bussing will be available in the mornings and afternoons.
Mondays-Thursdays 8:28am to 2:45pm and Fridays 8:28am to 12:45pm
