Student Representative to the Indigenous Education Council on the Territories of The Ktunaxa and Secwepemc

The School District and its Indigenous Partners in Education are seeking two interested individuals to represent Indigenous student voice at the Indigenous Education Council table. If you are an Indigenous student between the ages of 13-18 and you have thoughtful opinions about how to improve outcomes for your fellow Indigenous learners, you may be interested in hearing more about this opportunity. On this committee you will collaborate with other people who are passionate about Indigenous education. You can expect to expand your network of personal contacts, expand your knowledge base, and contribute to a meaningful decision making process. If you are interested, please submit your name to your school principal with a brief 250 word explanation of why you would like to represent Indigenous learners on this council.

If you have any further questions, please contact Steve Wyer by email, steve.wyer@sd6.bc.ca, or by phone at 250-342-9243 ext 4673.

We look forward to hearing from you!
